Collins & Collins

Image
Collins & Collins were an R&B duo that consisted of siblings Tonee and Bill Collins. According to research, they were in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area where they were signed to A&M Records. In 1980, the duo released their self-titled and only album; it’s unknown how or if the album charted at all. The lead single, “Top of the Stairs” (which was written by Nickolas Ashford & Valerie Simpson) peaked at #68 on Billboard’s Hot Soul Singles chart, staying on the chart for 6 weeks. The follow-up single from the album, “You Made Me Believe” failed to make the charts. After that it seems as if Tonee & Bill Collins have faded into obscurity. It’s unknown what they are currently up to these days. To see a video for “Top of the Stairs,” go to: To see a video for “You Made Me Believe,” go to:

At 0-for-12, she’s the woman who has the most nominations without a win in Oscar history. “I mean, there’s been a couple times when you’re kind of bummed,” says Warren, who earned her first nomination 33 years ago for the infectious power ballad “Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us” (performed by Starship for the 1987 film  Mannequin ) and who lost most recently when the H.E.R.-crooned “Fight for You” from  Judas and the Black Messiah  beat out Warren’s “Io Si (Seen)” from the Sophia Loren-starring  The Life Ahead . But nothing’s gon

Lyndsey Parker ·Editor in Chief, Yahoo Music Mon, May 3, 2021, 5:44 PM Incredibly, it’s taken until now for pioneering Heart guitarist, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, and four-time Grammy-winner Nancy Wilson to release her first studio solo album. Speaking to Yahoo Entertainment/ SiriusXM Volume  about that LP,  You and Me  — which was remotely recorded during the 2020 pandemic while Heart’s tour plans were on indefinite hold — she says, “I guess I've been sucked into the vortex of the Heart world for so long. … I was always in the blur of the heart of Heart. Being able to stop and be creative in this way has been really rewarding.” Interestingly, in a full-circle moment, the album’s release coincides almost exactly with the 35th anniversary of “These Dreams” — the first Heart single to go to No. 1 on the Billboard chart, and one of only two Heart singles to feature Nancy, instead of her sister and bandmate Ann Wilson, on lead vocals. That power ballad, written by longtime Elton
