Michael Jackson - Human Nature (1982)

July 23, 1983 - 38 Years Ago Today: Michael Jackson had the Hot Shot Debut at No. 48 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with his single, "Human Nature." This was the 5th single released from the No. 1 album, "Thriller," and became the 5th consecutive Top Ten when it peaked at No. 7 on September 17, 1983. Meanwhile, the 4th single release from the album, "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'," was currently in its second week at its peak of No. 5. "Human Nature," was the first single released from "Thriller," that wasn't written by Jackson. It was written by John Bettis and Steve Porcaro. "Thriller," was the first album in history to deliver 7 Top Ten singles. Bruce Springsteen tied that record when his 1984 album, "Born In The U.S.A." produced 7 Top Tens and Michael's kid sister, Janet Jackson, made it a three-way-tie and took it a step further when her 1989 album, "Janet Jackson's Rhythm Nation 1814," produced 7 Top 5 singles. Drake tied the record in 2018. Michael Jackson was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame twice - as a member of The Jackson 5 in 1997 and as a solo artist in 2001. Why Spandau Ballet's "True" should have been Sky & Raven Whitney's pop music favorite from a cancelled soap opera, "The Edge of Night" due to the band's white skin and why the pop music video of that song should have had dancers dancing in an upbeat slow bossa nova / pop style including Tracey Ullman and her female dancers splicing up that British pop band instead original of that band alone
