Natalie Cole - Jumpstart (1987)

July 25, 1987 - 34 Years Ago Today: Natalie Cole debuted at No. 87 on the Billboard Hot 100 Chart with her single, "Jump Start," The title of this single was a more than appropriate for Cole's single considering it peaked at No. 13 on October 3, 1987 becoming her first Top 40 in 7 years and literally jump started her waning career. This Reggie Calloway-penned single was a new beginning for Cole who followed it up with 5 additional Top 40's including two Top Tens and her multi-Grammy-winning 1991 album. "Unforgettable...With Love," an album of her late father's most indelible songs. Sadly, Natalie Cole died on December 31, 2015, at the age of 65.
